FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) research group
11/19/2018 | 12:56The members of the Research Group on Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) come from the three institutes of the Centre for Economic and Regional Studies.
The activities of the group are based on those synergies, which originate from the different approaches to FDI in the three institutes: it analyses the topic from the combination of economics, international business, development economics, political economy, development economics and economic geography aspects and thus it tries to provide new insights into it. Special emphasis is laid on the empirical analysis of developments in Hungary and in East-Central-Europe.

This study focuses on a comprehensive sustainability assessment of the management of the organic fraction of municipal solid waste in Ghent (Belgium), Hamburg (Germany) and Pécs (Hungary). A sustainability assessment framework has been applied to analyse social, environmental, and economic consequences at the midpoint level (25 impact categories) and at the endpoint level (5 areas-of-protection).
